OMFG the first teaser trailer for the upcoming live-action adaptation of The Lion King has just dropped, and it’ll send goosebumps all over. If this teaser is anything to go by, it will be nothing short of a nostalgic masterpiece.

Narrated by the one and only King Mufasa himself, James Earl freakin’ Jones, we’re given our first look at what to expect with the flawless looking CGI animals, and it doesn’t disappoint! I just want cuddle Simba all over!

The teaser touches on some of the film’s most impactful scenes such as Simba’s anointment, the tragic stampede scene that we’re sure is going to have a whole new generation of kids in blubbering messes. While the teaser concludes with that iconic scene where Simba roars at the sky after Mufasa appears in the clouds to give his son guidance to accept his true calling.

The Lion King premieres July 19th, 2019.
