Another day of self-Isolation and possibly another day closer into the descent of insanity. Today when I woke up, I decided to switch off from overthinking and dealing with the current state of the world by downing two valiums.

They hit the spot rather nicely, zoning me out to the point where I spent the first part of my day lost in a flood of TikTok viewing. There’s some hilarious shit on there, but there’s some absolutely stupid shit on there as well. It is the internet, after all.

I’ve recently discovered the joys of live-feeding. While I might not be able to interact physically, social media has been useful for connecting on a non-physical level with those that want to listen or just bored and need a laugh. And let’s be honest, my ramblings were definitely colourful.

As a friend nicely said. “Chad, you’re cracking it a little bit, but for now you haven’t lost the plot.” So that’s a good thing, right?

What I have found enjoyable during this time is that other artists and performers have been hopping on social media to bring a little bit of entertainment to people’s computer screens. It’s been inspiring nonetheless and found myself having a bit of fun with it as well.

We’re living in intensely fucked up and unknown times, but if we can bring a little bit of cheer and a smile on other’s faces, we’re at least making this whole experience a little bit more bearable.

Maybe it’s the fact that I was doped up, and that assisted in my ability to clear my thoughts on everything a bit more. I’m sure this whole experience of mandatory self-isolation will probably have some unexpected psychological effects on me, but I may as well have fun while I’m losing my mind, right?
