It’s happened. It’s finally happened. As of tomorrow at midday, all indoor venues, including pubs, clubs, sporting, and religious venues, have been forced to close to prevent further spread of COVID-19.

For now, it looks like I’m without a job when my self-isolation finally ends on the 30th of March. Just my luck, it finishes, and the country will probably be on complete lockdown by then. Despite all the doom and gloom, I’ve surprisingly had a pretty good day.

I’m so fortunate to have the friends that I have and a couple of them really came through today. One dropped off a nice little care package that completely chilled me out while another friend went on a mission to grab the essentials like strawberry milk, ciggies and sweets.

While my friends could quickly leave them at the door, it’s been way more fun getting them passed up over the balcony. I get to see their faces, have a quick chat and laugh at the fact I’m like some locked up Disney princess in a tower. The only difference is this Disney princess needs a shave.

Also, had a bit of fun in the kitchen today as well.

I’m discovering the whole live video thing can be a bit of fun. Whether people enjoy it or not lol.

It’s been a relief to see that the government is finally taking action and putting motions in place to provide financial security during these unprecedented times. When the latest restrictions came through I was surprisingly calm with it all.

Let’s be honest. We were just waiting for it to happen. I’ve taken a moment to get over the shock and realised something very significant, “We’ll be okay.”

Yes, there are some challenging times ahead, but we will get through this. The big key is not to panic. For the first time, I actually have faith in our government that they are working on solutions to soften the blow that the pandemic has had in Australia and will continue to do so.

Also, there’s no point in becoming an emotional mess. It’s going to do no one any good, especially yourself. Yes, feel the sadness and disappointment, but don’t let it dictate what you do from here on out.

How can we use this time to better ourselves and grow from this situation? They’re questions that we are each going to have ask and answer ourselves in coming weeks. Depending on what you choose is how you will come out after all this.

Honestly, I could keep typing, but I think a video that I posted earlier sharing my thoughts pretty much says everything that’s on my mind this evening.

Much love peeps.
