It had been such a hectic weekend. I’m now just getting around to post about the new trailer for Wonder Woman 1984.

80s nostalgia is so big at the moment, and there’s no denying this film is 100 percent capitalising on it. Backed with a remix of New Order’s iconic ‘Blue Monday,’ there’s so much going on in the trailer, but at the same time, it reveals so little.

Set several decades after the first film, Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) find herself going up against new villains Max Lord (Pedro Pascal) and Cheetah (Kristen Wiig). Just to punch you in the gut, the sequel also sees the return of Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor. We last saw him heroically sacrificing himself at the end of the last movie, and I’ve got a feeling we’re going to experience heartbreak all over again.

Patty Jenkins has returned for the sequel. Considering the first film was such a success, it’s only logical and also a smart business decision that she would be directing once more. As the saying goes, if somethings not broken, don’t try and fix it.

Honestly, I love everything about this trailer, and I so can’t wait for its release next year.
